Sikhi Alpha targets major social issues affecting millions of lives today – among them a lack of education, domestic violence, and societal injustice. We aim to build strategic relationships and promote policies that will advance our work.

Sikhi Alpha’s global mission is to reduce inequality and inequity by providing essential needs for the unprivileged, so that they can think about how to fulfill their potential.
We recognize the human race as one and that no discrimination should exist. Our view is that everyone is entitled to fundamental needs and freedom of conscience and expression.
One important challenge is gender inequality – specifically the disbarring of a girl’s future, by treating it as less important than a boy’s. This creates an unbalanced and unfair view for society. It causes generational cycles of persistent discrimination, with young boys growing up thinking they are superior to any girl. This superiority and consequent inferiority complex must be defeated and replaced with an interiority complex in both genders. With this we would not think less of ourselves, but think selflessly.
Prejudices persist in many ways, so we work to address them. We must break unethical and unjustifiable social infrastructures and patterns of behavior. Our organization engages those with privilege to change mindsets, and eliminate discrimination.

Education is an inclusive right – one that we are all entitled to. It eliminates ignorance, focuses on process and not outcomes, and allows incredible ideas to manifest and develop our future. Education fosters understanding, comprehends rationality and values inclusivity.
Millions of people are robbed of their future by inadequate education or they lack access to free education. This is particularly prevalent with children – be they from abandoned families, low income households, rural areas, minority communities, or discriminated castes. The right to a basic free education should come with encouragement and inspiration.
With equitable growth, particularly with education, we create the correct incentives for opportunity that will allow us to flourish as a human race.

Sikhi Alpha believes that protection from harm is a fundamental right. Yet millions of humans – men, women and children – live insecure and unnecessarily troubled lives.
Children are forced to work or fight in wars, and are exposed to violence in their own homes. Inadequate health provision exposes millions to unnecessary disease. Often those most in need are those most exposed to the ravages of
natural disasters, with limited ways to protect themselves, or to rebuild after.
Sikhi Alpha recognizes that for many it only takes a single incident to shatter their fragile sense of balance, bringing devastating harm with long-lasting consequences, from impaired socializing to mental and physical illnesses. The effects often spread to close family and friends, which is why we fight to provide financial and health advice, psychological support and protection.

Domestic violence is a global issue affecting individuals in every community regardless of economic status, gender, race, age, or nationality. 1 out of 3 women experience physical or sexual violence in their lifetime. Domestic violence is the most widespread but among the least reported human rights abuses. The physical violence is often accompanied by emotional abuse resulting in constant undermining, dominance, and control. The violence can last for generations resulting in injuries, trauma, and death.

Humanitarian emergencies, such as natural or man-made disasters, place humans in serious danger, especially women and children. There has been significant investment in reacting to changing global catastrophes but much more is required to understand the best responses, and the effects of post-incident impacts on the economy and society.
The last few years have seen the growing need for support with social media uncovering many cases which may have been overlooked or forgotten. Now we must react quicker, with greater effect, and with more determination. Prevention is more effective than reaction as more lives are saved and structural imbalances are reduced or even avoided.
Sikhi Alpha will continue to coordinate with countries and national NGOs to provide resources and tools as required, as protection of all global citizens is a fundamental obligation for us all.
