Jujhar Singh
President, CEO and Founder
Jujhar is an unconventional thinker, a scientific philanthropist, and a passionate sports fan. He has worked in the financial industry in both, the United States and the United Kingdom, first as an assurance executive and then as an investment specialist.
Jujhar’s interest in philanthropy has grown from his devotion to the idea that all human beings have equal value, but many require more equity. Philanthropy is a way to act on his belief that much inequality is born of behaviors that were learned and can therefore be unlearned.
He is a double-major in Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Oxford, before earning a M.Sc. in Computer Science from the University College London, earning distinctions in Graphical Modelling and Visualisation and Medical Scientific Computing. While building his career, Jujhar earned the designation of Associate Chartered Accountant from The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and is a CFA charterholder.
Sarah Spikes
Director
Sarah is a writer, editor, and veterinarian. Her interest in the well-being of people with few resources began while watching her mother teach students who lived in poverty. She was able to feel the direct benefit of charity when she met her high school roommate, who became a student through a program admitting academically talented people of minority groups to good private schools. This friendship is in its thirty-third year and counting.
Sarah feels that listening can inspire people. This led her to become a suicide hotline volunteer with the Samaritans – an experience that helped her understand human strength — during the sixteen years that she was working in London. She has also enjoyed raising money for medical charities, while running in marathons.
Sarah has worked as an equity research analyst, financial journalist, a strategy and communications consultant, and as a copywriter. She has practiced veterinary medicine in the US and the UK. Sarah majored in Neuroscience at Smith College, in Northampton Massachusetts, before earning a VMD from the University of Pennsylvania.

Vanessa Correa
Director
Vanessa’s interest in charity began while volunteering at a children’s home in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Children from newborn to teen age lived at the home because they were orphans or had been abused. Vanessa helped provide a safe and nurturing environment to build a solid foundation for each child’s future. This experience taught her how lives of the less fortunate can be significantly enriched.
Vanessa majored in Chemical Engineering at the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, Brazil, before earning her Masters in Finance from London Business School.
She has worked across firms in the financial sector in Europe and Brazil with special expertise in Wealth Management and Asset Management. She has worked as an equities analyst, a product and business manager, and now works as an investment advisor. More importantly, Vanessa is a loving mother to her baby boy.
Melissa W. Wells
Director
Melissa has a double-life between Brooklyn and traveling to remote places to find the earth’s less-loved creatures, like bats, sharks, and insects, where she will frequently shoot video.
At home in the US, Melissa has built a career in healthcare, where her day-to-day involves solving problems to improve access to care. Her experience also includes working with foreign governments to improve their healthcare systems. Early in her working life, she worked with developmentally disabled adults who impressed upon her the desire to function at the highest possible level.
Melissa majored in Neuroscience at Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts, and lives in Brooklyn with her husband. Melissa’s brother, sisters-in-law and mother are close by. Her mother and grandmother were determined to teach her about personal finance, a knowledge she enjoys passing along to others.
